Woman Fatally Injured After Losing Control of Vehicle in Antelope Valley

LANCASTER (CNS) - A 20-year-old woman was killed today in a solo- vehicle crash outside Lancaster.

The woman was driving an Acura sedan ``at a high rate of speed with high winds in the area'' on Avenue F near 85th Street West about 2:10 p.m. when her car veered right and she lost control of the car, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car when it left the roadway and overturned.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of relatives.

Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected to be a factor in the collision, according to the CHP.
