Dunkin' Donuts has become a staple for donuts... and also their coffee.

A New Jersey couple is now suing the donut giant for second and third-degree burns suffered while sitting in the DD drive-thru.

Evan Arlington and Stephanie Arlington-Macias went through their local Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru for some cups of joe. They had bought two cups of hot coffee and one iced coffee.

According to their lawsuit that they filed on April 4th, Arlington suffered second and third-degree burns after a cup of hot coffee spilled on his lap as he was in their drive-thru, according to the couple attorney, William Gold.

Evan Arlington had to pay sufficient medial bills, while Arlington-Macias suffered "a loss of her husband's aid, comfort, conjugal fellowship, and consortium" - the lawsuit alleges.

The couple is seeking an unspecified amount for the damages. Fox Business reached out to Dunkin' Donuts, they decided not to comment.
