"How to Murder Your Husband" Author Now Stands Trial For Husband's Murder

Nancy Crampton Brophy, the author of the novel "How to Murder Your Husband" is now standing trial, four years after her husband was found dead in a culinary school kitchen.

Four years after Daniel Brophy was found dead in a culinary school kitchen, his wife Nancy Crampton Brophy now stands trial after she was accused of fatally shooting her husband. She has been in custody since 2018.

Daniel Brophy was murdered as he was preparing for work at the Oregon Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. He was killed at approximately 7:30 am on June 2nd, 2018. At the time of his murder, there were no obvious suspects.

He was found dead by his students as they arrived for class.

Interestingly enough, his wife's minivan was seen going into the city and leaving the city. where the school is located. This took place near the time of the shooting.

Daniel's murder remained a huge mystery until his wife's arrest.

Though she has written a book called, "How to Murder Your Husband" - it was announced last week that the book would not be used as evidence in the trial.

She has pleaded not guilty in the past. The trial is expected to last seven weeks.
