HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CNS) - A suspect was shot by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies in Hacienda Heights today following a pursuit.
The shooting occurred after the man exited his vehicle with a weapon and charged deputies, CBS2 reported. The sheriff's department could not immediately confirm the details leading up to the shooting.
The man was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. No deputies were injured in the shooting, according to Deputy David Yoo of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
The shooting occurred about 4:25 p.m. in the 14440 block of Crystal Lantern Drive, near Orange Grove Middle School, Yoo said.
