PALMDALE (CNS) - A man is hospitalized today with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in a hit and run collision in Palmdale.
Deputies from the Palmdale Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department initially responded at 11:20 p.m. Friday to 40th Street East and Avenue P-8 where they found a man in the roadway with injuries to his legs, authorities said.
The victim was taken to a hospital with severe injuries, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.
There was no description of the vehicle that struck the victim.
Kimball said CHP is investigating the collision.
