The family of a man killed when a tornado struck an Amazon warehouse in Illinois is suing the company.
- Attorneys for the family of Austin McEwen say Amazon management required workers to stay on the job instead of evacuating, even though they knew conditions were unsafe.
- The suit also alleges that the company did not have an adequate safety plan, and that the warehouse lacked a basement.
- Six people, including McEwen, were killed when the Dec. 10th tornado struck the St. Charles County facility.
- Should Amazon be held liable? Does your workplace go over things like fire or tornado plans?
