`The Power of the Dog' Wins Golden Globe Award for Best Drama

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``The Power of the Dog'' won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Drama in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's 79th annual award ceremony that was mired in controversy surrounding the organization and was dropped by NBC last year from being televised.  

The private ceremony on Sunday night celebrated the works of film and television and shined a light on the HFPA's philanthropy work.  

``The Power of the Dog'' and ``Belfast'' had the most Golden Globe nominations with seven. ``King Richard,'' ``Licorice Pizza'' and ``West Side Story'' were also among the most nominated movies in the film categories.  

``Succession,'' ``Hacks,'' ``The Morning Show'' and ``Ted Lasso'' were among the most nominated TV shows.
