HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - ``Lost in Space'' topped the latest streaming ratings, coinciding with the release of the third and final season of the Netflix science fiction series, according to figures released today by Nielsen.
Viewers spent 1.207 billion minutes watching the series' 28 episodes between Nov. 29 and Dec. 5, including the eight-episode third season, which was released Dec. 1. Half of the audience was 50 years old or older.
``CoComelon'' was second with 786 million minutes watched, 1.4% less than the 797 million minutes watched the previous week when it finished fourth.
``Red Notice'' dropped out of the top 10 after three consecutive first- place finishes. Two other programs that also stream on Netflix dropped out of the top 10 -- the Halle Berry-starring and directed mixed martial arts film ``Bruised'' and the science fiction series ``Cowboy Bebop,'' which both spent one week in the top 10.
Two movies that stream on Disney+ also dropped out of the top 10 -- ``Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings'' and ``Jungle Cruise.''
There were four other programs in the latest top 10 not in the previous week's in addition to ``Lost in Space.'' They all stream on Netflix.
The classic NBC comedy ``Seinfeld'' and the 2005-20 CBS police procedural crime drama ``Criminal Minds'' both returned to the top 10 after one- week absences, finishing fourth and seventh with 592 million minutes and 544 million minutes watched.
The Jane Campion-directed psychological thriller ``The Power of the Dog'' was ninth with 470 million minutes watched the first four days it was available. The real estate documentary ``Selling Sunset'' was 10th with 440 million minutes of its 34 episodes, including its 10-epiosde fourth season which was in its first full week of release.
Eight of the top 10 stream on Netflix and one each on Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video. Nielsen also announces streaming viewership of Apple TV+ and Hulu programming.
The top 10 consisted of five original streaming series; three series that originally aired on a U.S. broadcast network; one movie; and ``CoComelon,'' the 15-episode 3D animated series of videos of traditional nursery rhymes and original children's songs that originated on YouTube.
The top 10 programs were ``Lost in Space''; ``CoComelon''; ``True Story''; ``Seinfeld''; ``NCIS''; ``Hawkeye''; ``Criminal Minds''; ``The Wheel of Time''; ``The Power of the Dog''; and ``Selling Sunset.''
The figures reflect only television-set viewing, including such television-connected devices as Roku and Apple TV. Mobile-only viewing is not included in Nielsen's streaming measurement systems.
