MAR VISTA (CNS)- Three teenage girls suspected of being involved in a fight in Mar Vista tonight that left an 11-year-old girl hospitalized were arrested.

Police were called at around 8:55 p.m. to the 3200 block of Sawtelle Boulevard, between National and Palms boulevards, where Los Angeles Police Department officers found an 11-year-old girl in an altercation with another girl, CBS2 reported.

Two more girls joined the attack -- one armed with a steak knife -- and stabbed the 11-year-old victim in the back of the head, according to CBS2.

The alleged assailants ran away but were located and taken into custody by police.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
