`Eternals' Still in First Place at Box Office With $27.5 Million

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``Eternals'' kept its spot atop the box office this weekend, grossing $27.5 million to lead all films released in North America, according to industry estimates released today.

The latest in a long line of Marvel superhero movies beat out Paramount's family film ``Clifford the Big Red Dog,'' which opened with $16.4 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, Comscore reported.

``Clifford the Big Red Dog'' is also available for home viewing on the Paramount Plus streaming service.

``Dune'' was in third place with $5.5 million in its fourth weekend of release. That film is also available for home viewing on the HBO Max streaming service.

The James Bond film ``No Time to Die'' grossed another $4.6 million for fourth place in its sixth week of release, followed by ``Venom: Let There be Carnage'' with $4 million in its seventh week.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were ``Ron's Gone Wrong'' ($2.2 million), ``The French Dispatch'' ($1.84 million), ``Belfast'' ($1.8 million), ``Spencer'' ($1.5 million) and ``Antlers'' ($1.2 million).
