LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Two people were undergoing evaluation for burn injuries today after flames burned a trailer and spread to a two-car detached garage on La Tuna Canyon Road in the Shadow Hills area of Los Angeles.

The fire was reported just after 4 p.m. at 8604 W. La Tuna Canyon Road, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department's Margaret Stewart.

It took 50 firefighters 21 minutes to put out the flames, Stewart said.

A male and female were evaluated for burn injuries, she said. Information was not immediately available about their ages or extent of injuries.

An unknown number of exotic animals on the property were not injured, Stewart said. The number and types were not available.

La Tuna Canyon Road was closed in both directions through the area due to large-diameter hose lines in the roadway, she said. Arson investigators were responding.
