According to a new report published in the European Heart Journal - Digital Health, the time you go to bed every night may be affecting your heart health.

Research shows that going to bed between 10 pm and 11 pm may actually be better for you.

In data that tracked more than 88,000 adults for more than six years, 12% of those were at a greater risk to develop heart disease (those who went to bed between 11 pm and 11:59 pm), while there was a 25% higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease amongst people who went to bed at midnight or later.

“The body has a 24-hour internal clock, called circadian rhythm, that helps regulate physical and mental functioning,"

said neuroscientist David Plans, who is the co-author of the study and is the head of research at Huma - a London health tech company. He continued:

"While we cannot conclude causation from our study, the results suggest that early or late bedtimes may be more likely to disrupt the body clock, with adverse consequences for cardiovascular health,”

If you go to bed later than 11 pm, you may want to rethink that!!!!
