McDonald's Now Testing Vegetarian Burger At Select Locations in LA

McDonald's has now begun testing out a vegetarian burger at select locations in Los Angeles.

The "McPlant" burger consists a plant-based patty, lettuce, and tomatoes. McDonald's is currently testing this burger out at certain locations in Manhattan Beach and El Segundo.

This is the first vegetarian option that McDonald's has tested out and if all goes well, they will make the "McPlant" a fixture on their menu.

The plant-based patty was developed in an exclusive partnership with Beyond Meat. The patty is made up of ingredients like rice, peas, and potatoes. The patty will come on the famous McDonald's sesame seed bun, topped with tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise, onions, ketchup, mustard, and some cheese.
