Man Killed In North Hollywood Hit-And-Run; Suspect Sought

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Police today sought the public's help to identify a hit-and-run driver who fatally injured a man in North Hollywood on Halloween night.

The victim was crossing Laurel Canyon Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk, north of Stathern Street, about 10:35 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a silver vehicle traveling north on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The vehicle fled the scene, driving north on Laurel Canyon Boulevard following the collision. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
