Deputies Continue Investigation of Shooting Death

LOS ANGELES (CNS)- A man was shot to death in an unincorporated area bordering South Los Angeles and today Los Angeles County Sheriffs' Department homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.

Deputies responded at 9:15 p.m. Thursday to the 1400 block of West 96th Street near Normandie Avenue where they found the victim, who authorities say was approximately 30 years old and suffering from several gunshot wounds to the upper torso, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

The victim was taken to a hospital and died there, Koerner said.

Police have no motive or suspect information at this time.
