NASA scientists may have found signs of what could possibly be the first exoplanet outside of our galaxy!
- It is called an exoplanet due to being outside of our solar system and it orbits a star that is not the sun.
- The exoplanet was found in the Whirpool Galaxy by NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory.
- Roseanne Di Stefano led the study and said in a statement, "We are trying to open up a whole new arena for finding other worlds by searching for planet candidates at X-ray wavelengths, a strategy that makes it possible to discover them in other galaxies."
- How many planets do you think are out in the universe?
