Authorities ID Man Fatally Shot in Long Beach; Investigation Continuing

LONG BEACH (CNS) - Authorities today identified a man who was fatally shot near a service road in Long Beach over the weekend, and detectives sought public help to solve the crime.

Sirjohn Hardiman, 21, of Long Beach was found with a wound to his upper body about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 6200 block of Downey Avenue, and he died the following day at a hospital, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

No arrests have been reported, and no suspect information was available. A motive for the killing was not known, police said.
