Man Can Finally Upgrade to Electric Toothbrush Following $1M Lottery Win

Twenty-six year-old Brian Nelson has something a bit more modest in mind than your typical lottery winner when it comes to what he’ll upgrade with his winnings.

“I’m just looking forward to upgrading to an electric toothbrush and splurging on a good pair of flip flops,” said Nelson to lottery officials on Tuesday in a news release.

Recently engaged Nelson traveled with his fiancée to Tallahassee to claim his prize. His win comes from a $20 Gold Rush Limited scratch-off ticket he purchased at a Quik Mart in Leesburg where he’s from. He’ll collect his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payout of $795,000.

The Gold Rush Limited game scratch-off cards include 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million.

One hopes Brian will explore more ways to spend his money, as he’ll have quite a bit left on his hands once he upgrades his toothbrush and purchases a new pair of flip flops. Maybe some toothpaste? Treat yourself Mr. Nelson, and congratulations on your big win!
