LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``Halloween Kills'' -- another in a long line of sequels to John Carpenter's 1978 original ``Halloween'' -- opened with $50.3 million to lead all films at the box office this weekend, according to industry estimates released today.

Universal's release of Blumhouse's seasonal horror offering, which stars franchise veteran Jamie Lee Curtis, beat out last week's top film, the James Bond entry ``No Time to Die,'' which pulled in $24.2 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada.

``Venom: Let There be Carnage'' was third with $16.5 million in its third week in theaters, Comscore reported.

``Addams Family 2'' was fourth with $7.1 million in its third week, followed by ``The Last Duel,'' which opened with $4.8 million.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were ``Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'' ($3.5 million), ``Free Guy'' ($680,000), ``Lamb'' ($543,000), ``Candyman'' ($460,000) and ``Dear Evan Hansen'' ($410,000).
