Facebook Changes Its Policies... To Better Protect Famous People

Facebook is changing its policies again -- in the hopes of cutting down on harassment -- but this time, it's focused on protecting famous people!

The new rules ban "harmful content that attacks public figures," such as celebrities, journalists, or politicians. The platform says it will also be going after "coordinated efforts of mass harassment" and Groups that attempt to "harass or silence people".

“We do not allow bullying and harassment on our platform, but when it does happen, we act,” Antigone Davis, Facebook’s head of global safety, wrote in a blog post.
