Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hollywood Hit-and-Run Crash

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A woman was seriously injured this morning when she was struck by a Mercedes sedan while standing next to a parked vehicle on a Hollywood street, and the driver did not stop.

The hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:05 a.m. on Santa Monica Boulevard east of El Centro Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement.

The 2017-19 white Mercedes four-door C Class sedan was going westbound on Santa Monica Boulevard when it hit the woman, who was standing next to a vehicle on the northbound side of the street, police said.

The driver of the Mercedes continued westbound without stopping to render aid or wait for officers, police said. The woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives asked the public's help in locating the driver and vehicle.

A reward of up to $25,000 is available for people who provide information leading to a hit-and-run offender's identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
