Google announced Thursday it will cut off ad money for YouTube videos and other content on its sites that refers to climate change as a hoax or scam.
In a statement, Google said, "In recent years, we've heard directly from a growing number of our advertising and publisher partners who have expressed concerns about ads that run alongside or promote inaccurate claims about climate change."
- The new policy will kick in next month.
- YouTube also recently announced a ban on vaccine misinformation.
