CANOGA PARK (CNS) - A homeless man who allegedly fired shots that damaged an occupied restaurant in Canoga Park was in custody today, authorities said.

Sebastiano Cummings-Cruz, 23, was booked on suspicion of “attempted murder with enhancements,'' and was held on $2.15 million bail, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Cummings-Cruz, a transient who frequents the Canoga Park area, allegedly entered the Shake Shack in the 6600 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, near Vanowen Street, at about noon Thursday and “caused a disturbance,'' according to the LAPD.

Cummings-Cruz was asked to leave the restaurant and once he did, he allegedly turned around and fired numerous shots through the storefront windows, causing them to shatter. He then ran away from the scene.

About 20 people, including a 10-year-old, were inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting, though no one was injured, police said.

LAPD officers responded to the scene and arrested Cummings-Cruz a short time later.
