Winning Mega Millions Jackpot Worth $432 Million Sold at NYC Pizza Shop

A Mega Millions winning ticket worth $432 million was sold at a pizza shop in New York City. The winning ticket had all five matching numbers and the Mega Ball number guaranteeing the person who purchased this ticket, a MASSIVE paycheck!

According to the New York Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at Pronto Pizza, a pizzeria located on West 48th Street in Manhattan. The owner of Pronto Pizza, David Khiralla, told local ABC7 NY,

"I'm happy for this guy and wish it could be me," Khiralla stated. He continued by saying, "Happy for him, maybe he needs it, and I hope we have other winners soon, too."

This was not the only winning ticket sold at Pronto Pizza, according to Khiralla, a man won $3 million in 2009 and has also sold a winning scratch-off ticket worth $1 million.

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350, according to Mega Millions. The winner of these millions of dollars can choose between an estimated jackpot of $432 million spread out in annual payments or a lump sum of $315 million.

A ticket with 5 numbers, but not the winning Mega Millions number was sold in Connecticut - the person who purchased that ticket will get the second prize of $1 million.

The last time a Mega Millions jackpot was won, was on June 8th in Chicago, Illinois. The jackpot for the next drawing resets to $20 million, with a cash option of $14.5 million. That drawing is scheduled for this Friday.
