Magnitude-4.3 Earthquake Rattles SoCal Area

At 7:58 p.m. Friday evening a magnitude-4.3 earthquake centered in Carson and was felt throughout Southern California.

Initial reported as 4.4, but was later downgraded to a 4.3 magnitude earthquake. Shaking, rolling and jolts were felt from areas, including Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Torrance, Anaheim and Studio City.

No injuries or extensive damages were initially reported, but officials still urged locals to have a plan in place for future earthquakes and any potential aftershocks.
