A homeless man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a security guard to death in an unprovoked attack at a strip mall in Anaheim, police said today.

Officers were sent to the 1800 block of West Lincoln Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. Friday regarding multiple calls of a man being stabbed, police said. They located Andrew Isaiah Godinez, 24, leaving the scene and arrested him without incident, Sgt. Shane Carringer said. Joseph Paul Gomez, who was working at the location as a securityguard, was rushed to an area hospital by paramedics, where the 46-year-old Tustin resident was pronounced dead, Carringer said.

``Detectives are seeking additional witnesses or people who may have had other contacts with Godinez,'' he said.

The Anaheim Police Department's Homicide Detail urged anyone with information regarding the attack to call them at 714-321-3669.
