Today we cover a recent story that took place in South Carolina just this week!
Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, South Carolina Attorney Alex Murdaugh was shot in the head about three months after he discovered the bodies of his wife and son shot dead outside the family's home. Surprisingly, he survived the attack and was able to report to law enforcement.
Murdaugh’s life story holds two major details:(1) He comes from a family full of attorneys and (2) his wife, Margaret, and son Paul were shot dead outside of their home in Islandton back on June 7th. The latter has been left unsolved.
He was shot while changing a tire and the reasoning is still unclear.
Since then Murdaugh has prompted a $100,000 reward for answers on the suspect who shot him. However, the question still remains. Was this shooting an act of revenge, money, a hit, or an attempt at vengeance?
Murdaugh has since resigned from his law firm and checked himself into rehab. His resignation was streamlined as he faces accusations from within his inherited firm because of embezzling money for seemingly personal use.
