7 Killed In Chaotic Scene At Kabul Airport

At least seven people have been killed -- two by U.S. forces -- in a chaotic scene at Kabul International Airport.

Thousands of people rushed the airport, hoping to flee the country as Taliban forces took over the capital city.  And according to reports, U.S. forces killed two gunmen who "fired into the crowd".

Other reports claim people were seen falling to their deaths after clinging to the side of an airplane that was taking off.

The U.S. military has secured the airport and temporarily suspended all activity while it attempts to deal with the crowd.

“If anything, the developments of the past week reinforced that ending U.S. military involvement in Afghanistan now is the right decision,” President Biden said during a press conference on Monday. “American troops cannot and should not be fighting in a war, and dying in a war, the Afghan forces are not willing to fight for themselves.”
