Man Shot in Brea, Police Seek Public's Help in Locating Gunman

BREA (CNS) - A man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound today in Brea from an acquaintance, and police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the shooter.

Police were notified at about 7:45 a.m. that a gunshot victim had been admitted to an area emergency room after being shot in the area of the 300 block of South Brea Boulevard, the Brea Police Department reported.

The shooting occurred at about 7 a.m., police said, and the initial investigation revealed that the victim was a resident of Rowland Heights.

Police said it appears that the victim and suspected gunman were acquaintances.
