Woman Dead in Crash on 10 Freeway in East Los Angeles Area

EAST LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A woman was killed when the vehicle she was driving crashed on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in the East Los Angeles area, authorities said today.

The 64-year-old Covina woman died at the scene of the crash that occurred about 5 p.m. Wednesday near Center Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.

According to the CHP, the woman was driving a 2019 Honda CR-V in the express lanes when the vehicle crashed into the right shoulder wall and then hit the left shoulder wall.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
