Small Towns are Paying People Money to Move In

Local and state governments in a handful of towns in the US are giving cash benefits for new residents.

These cities have committed to this initiative in efforts to restore their local workforces. They are offering individuals the lump sums in exchange that they take residence in these towns to work remotely. As remote work has become a more popular means of employment, these cities are offering to house individuals to restimulate their local economies.

Members who have already taken these cities up on their offer have begun to build for their future.

The list of paying regions released by USA Today includes: Jasper, Indiana, Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Morgantown, West Virginia.
