Deputies Arrest Felon with Concealed Knife in Norwalk

NORWALK (CNS) - A felon was in custody in Norwalk today after deputies conducting a hit-and-run investigation discovered the man was carrying a large, concealed knife, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a call regarding a hit-and-run collision about 9 p.m. Tuesday and located the suspect at Imperial Highway and Woods Avenue, said Lt. Boulder of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Norwalk station.

During a search of the vehicle and suspect, deputies discovered the knife, Boulder said.

No other information was immediately available, including details on the alleged hit and run.

The suspect was arrested on weapons charges, with other charges pending after the hit-and-run investigation, Boulder said.

The suspect's name was not released.
