SANTA ANA (CNS) - A sprinkler system was credited with keeping flames in check inside a commercial building in Santa Ana before firefighters arrived on scene, authorities said this morning.

Crews responded about 11 p.m. Wednesday to the 1900 block of Pomona Street and quickly extinguished the flames, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Sprinklers within the building kept the flames contained before crews arrived, the authority said.

No injuries were immediately reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
