Man Shot, Killed in San Gabriel, Suspect Remains At Large

SAN GABRIEL (CNS) - A man in his 20s was shot and killed in San Gabriel and the suspect remains at large today.

The victim was found on the street in the 500 block of West Norwood Place, between Valley Boulevard and the San Bernardino (10) Freeway, near the border with Alhambra, according to San Gabriel Police Department Sgt. Rebecca Gomez.

Officers attempted life-saving measures. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The shooting occurred at about 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to Deputy Michelle Sanchez of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. The LASD was assisting San Gabriel police in the investigation.

A motive for the shooting was unknown. No suspect description was available.
