Felon Charged with Pimping, Assaulting Teen Girl

SANTA ANA (CNS) - A convicted felon was charged today with pimping and sexually assaulting an underage teenage girl in Fullerton.

Jacobi Dwayne Rapids, 39, pleaded not guilty to single felony counts each of human trafficking of an underage victim, pimping an underage victim younger than 16, lewd act on a child 14 or 15, statutory rape, oral copulation of a victim younger than 16 and pandering a victim younger than 16. It's unclear where Rapids resides.

Rapids is accused of attacking the victim April 15, according to the criminal complaint. He was arrested on April 20 and was being held without bail.

Rapids pleaded guilty in December 2006 to assault with a deadly weapon, according to court records. As part of his plea deal attempted robbery and sentencing enhancements for gang activity were dropped. He was sentenced then to three years in prison.
