GLENDORA (CNS) - Officials today released the name of a 67-year-old man who lost consciousness while riding a bicycle in the Glendora area and was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.ย ย
The bicyclist was identified as Stanley Swantek of Pasadena, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.ย ย
The incident was reported shortly before noon Friday on Glendora Mountain Road at mile marker 12.06, according to the California Highway Patrol.ย ย
Swantek was riding his Trek bicycle on Glendora Mountain Road when he began ``experiencing complications from an unknown medical condition and lost consciousness,'' according to a CHP statement.ย ย
A passerby began performing CPR on Swantek. Arriving paramedics took over, but later pronounced him dead at the scene at 12:22 p.m.ย ย
The CHP's Baldwin Park office asked anyone with information regarding the incident to call them at 626-338-1164.
