Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises For 25th Time in 26 Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 25th time in 26 days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.55, its highest amount since March 2.  

The average price has risen 20.2 cents over the past 26 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.4 cents more than one week ago and 23.6 cents higher than one month ago but 1.9 cents less than one year ago.  

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.533. It has increased 39 of the past 40 days, rising 31.5 cents, including eight- tenths of a cent Saturday, to its highest amount since Feb. 1, 2020.  

The Orange County average price is 3.3 cents more than one week ago, 23.8 cents higher than a month ago and 1.9 cents above what it was one year ago.
