Average Los Angeles County Gas Price Rises For 22nd Time in 23 Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 22nd time in 23 days, increasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.538, its highest amount since March 4.

The average price has risen 19 cents over the past 23 days, including 1 cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4 cents more than one week ago and 25 cents higher than one month ago but 3 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose for the 36th time in 37 days, increasing 1 cent to $3.519, its highest amount since Feb. 25. It has increased 30.1 cents over the past 37 days, including a half-cent on Wednesday.

The Orange County average price is 3.3 cents more than one week ago, 25.1 cents higher than a month ago and eight-tenths of a cent above what it was one year ago.
