Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises To Highest Amount Since March 8

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 18th consecutive day and 34th time in 35 days, increasing a half-cent to $3.511, its highest amount since March 8.  

The average price has risen 28 cents over the past 35 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5.1 cents more than one week ago and 26.7 cents higher than one month ago but 6.9 cents less than one year ago.  

The Orange County average price increased for the 32nd consecutive day, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.494, its highest amount since March 4. It has increased 27.6 cents over the past 32 days, including a half- cent on Friday.  

The Orange County average price is 4.2 cents more than one week ago and 27.1 cents higher than a month ago but 3.3 cents less than one year ago.
