Southland Gas Prices Still Climbing

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 21st time in the past 22 days, increasing 1 cent to $3.401, its highest amount since March 17.  

The average price has risen 17 cents over the past 22 days, including 1.7 cents on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5.8 cents more than one week ago and 21 cents higher than one month ago, but 19 cents less than one year ago.  

The Orange County average price rose for the 19th consecutive day to its highest amount since March 14, increasing a half-cent to $3.381. It has risen 16.3 cents over the past 19 days, including 1.5 cents on Saturday.  

The Orange County average price is 5.7 cents more than one week ago and 20.2 cents higher than a month ago, but 15.5 cents less than one year ago.
