The Effort to Recall Gov. Gavin Newsom is Gaining Momentum

The official recall effort against Governor Gavin Newsom reached a major milestone last week after it surpassed 800,000 signatures.

But that's not all... It also met the 10 percent threshold of signatures required per California's state election code, meaning that registrar recorder officials can now start the process of verifying those collected petitions.

The RecallGavin2020 campaign also announced last week that they are currently working on delivering those 800,000 signatures to county election officials throughout the state.

“Today our efforts to Recall California Governor Gavin Newsom have entered a dramatic new phase, and we cannot be prouder of everyone who is working tirelessly to remove America’s worst governor from office,” Orrin Heatlie, the lead proponent of RecallGavin2020, said last Thursday after the campaign passed 800,000 petition signatures.

Keep in mind, 1.5 million signatures are the current requirement in order to hold a special election to recall Newsom.

On Tuesday, Gary and Shannon got to speak with Heatlie himself about the campaign efforts to recall Newsom... Take a listen to the interview below!
