Lakers To Begin Preseason Dec. 11 Against The Clippers

Fans Celebrate In Los Angeles After Lakers Wins NBA Finals

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Los Angeles Lakers announced today they will begin a four-game preseason schedule Dec. 11 by playing host to the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.

The Lakers will also play host to the Clippers for a second preseason game at Staples Center Dec. 13. They will also play preseason games at Phoenix Dec. 16 and Dec. 18.

The Lakers announced on Nov. 11 that games at Staples Center will be played without fans until further notice following “the guidance of state and local health officials.''

The 2020-21 NBA regular season will begin Dec. 22. As previously announced, the regular-season schedule will be released in two segments. The schedule for the First Half of the season (Dec. 22- March 4) will be released in the coming days.

The schedule for the Second Half (March 11-May 16) will be released during the latter part of the First Half. The Second Half schedule will include the remainder of each team's 72 games as well as any games postponed during the First Half that can be reasonably be added to the Second Half schedule.
