Stranded Paraglider Rescued From Remote Hills In Malibu

MALIBU (CNS) - An uninjured paraglider was rescued today after becoming stranded in a remote hilly area of Malibu.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched shortly before 2 p.m. to rescue the paraglider near the 24600 block of Piuma Road.

Crews were on scene by 2:15 p.m., and the paraglider was successfully hoisted by 2:40 p.m., the department's Leslie Lua said.

The paraglider was not injured and was airlifted to a safe location, according to Lua.
