Average LA County Gas Price Records Largest Increase Since July 24

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its largest increase since July 24 today, rising seven-tenths of a cent to $3.156.

Despite the increase, the average price is a half-cent less than one week ago, 4.1 cents lower than one month ago and 92.3 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 45.9 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent for the second consecutive day to $3.119. It is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 4.2 cents lower than one month ago and 90.9 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has decreased 42.6 cents since the start of the year.
