Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops To Lowest Amount Since July 23

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped to its lowest amount since July 23 today, decreasing a half-cent for the second consecutive day to $3.148.

The average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 5.1 cents lower than one month ago and 94.2 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 46.7 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.121, one day after dropping one-tenth of a cent. It is one-tenth of a cent less than one week ago, 4.1 cents lower than one month ago and 92.2 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has decreased 42.4 cents since the start of the year.
