LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Mayor Eric Garcetti will campaign in Las Vegas, Nevada, today on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris.
Garcetti, who is a co-chair of the Biden for President campaign, will participate in a food distribution event with Nevada Democratic Assemblyman Edgar Flores and the Nevada Hispanic Legislative Caucus. He will then partner with Nevada State Democratic Party Chair William McCurdy II to raise awareness about Election Day and pass out campaign swag.
Garcetti will also lead a retail canvass to connect with Las Vegas small business owners. Finally, he will kick off a youth canvass with McCurdy.
Yusef Robb, a spokesman for Garcetti's political office, told City News Service the mayor plans to return to Los Angeles this evening.
