Little Change to Average Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $3.193, one day after dropping a half-cent.

The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 3 cents lower than one month ago and $1.041 cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 42.2 cents since the start of the year.

The increase ended a five-day streak of decreases totaling nine-tenths of a cent.

The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.158, one day after decreasing two-tenths of a cent. It is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 4 cents lower than one month ago and $1.039 cheaper than one year ago. It has decreased 38.7 cents since the start of the year.
