Little Change to Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $3.218, the fifth consecutive day it has changed by two-tenths of a cent or less.

The average price is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and 47.5 cents lower than one year ago but 1.4 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 39.7 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.188 after dropping four consecutive days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Wednesday. It is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, one-tenth of a cent lower than one month ago and 46.4 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 35.7 cents since the start of the year.
