Man, 19, Charged in Stabbing Death in Pasadena CVS Parking Lot

PASADENA (CNS) - A 19-year-old man is facing a possible murder charge for the alleged stabbing of a 30-year-old man in a Pasadena CVS parking lot, police said today.

Officers responded to several calls about a man stabbing another man in the 100 block of East Orange Grove Boulevard, near Fair Oaks Avenue, at 8:15 p.m. Friday, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

Christopher Flores of Altadena was found on the ground bleeding profusely and later died at a hospital, police said.

Witnesses directed officers through an alley where the suspect, later identified as Enrique Antonio Real of Baldwin Park, was last seen running away. Real was found not far from the crime scene and was taken into custody without incident, the department said.

A preliminary investigation determined the victim was walking north through the CVS parking lot with Real walking alongside in the same direction when, for unknown reasons, the suspect stabbed the victim several times, police said.

A bloodied knife and other evidence allegedly was recovered from the scene.

Pasadena police said Real was arrested on suspicion of murder Wednesday, adding that his bail has been set at $2.02 million.
