National treasure and "certified young person" Paul Rudd starred in a public service announcement to remind his fellow millennials to wear masks.
The PSA was brought to us by the state of New York and has Rudd misusing every young person slang term and stereotype in order to get younger people on board with wearing masks.
As funny as the video is, Rudd is imploring people to make a change based in some recent facts.
Data released by the CDC in March suggests that adults between 20 to 44, the millennial and Gen Z age group, make up about 30% of COVID-19 cases across the country and about 20% of hospitalizations.
In Los Angeles, more than half of diagnosed COVID-19 cases are in people ages 18-49.
So as Rudd says:
"Masks — they’re totally beast. So slide that into your DMs and Twitch it.”
